Fake An Easy Side French Braid

So school starts tomorrow & I know sometimes we have bad hair days & dont have time to wash it over or whatever soooo here is an easy tutorial too show you how !
(its not only for when you have a bad hair day haha :P good for everyday simple hair & if you play a sport this is great too ! i do it everytime i play tennis (: ) OH & works for ppl whose are is too layered (:

1. Start off with all your hair brushed & down !

2. grab 1/3 of the top half of your hair & bring it to one side

4. Braid that part & tie it (pull out your bangs if you need too.)

& it should look like this !

5. now bring ALL your hair to the same side as the top braid & make 3 equal sections
the section closes to your face should contain the top braid (So less of the bottom half of hair)
& braid it normally ! After you get the braid going go ahead & release the top braid of the hair tie & continue.

&&& thisss is how it should look ! (:

Who says celebrity designers can't be taken seriously?

Has anyone seen the latest episode of The Rachel Zoe Project? Well Gwen Stefani was on there talking a bout her line, L.A.M.B, and omg. I got so giddy watching her. I have to say, L.A.M.B, is one of my favorite designer labels and I respect her so much as a musician, designer, mom...I mean this woman can do anything- and she can do it well. So after the show, I decided to look up her 2010 fall rtw collection.

So here my favorite looks from the collection:

So what do you think? I have to say, the rest of collection seemed a little sloppy but i heard she issue with more than half of her line not arriving on time for fashion week. Even then, I am loving the first look and dying for the green leather pants in the last pic.

This collection has also inspired me to get these:

Material Girl

Madonna's daughter, Lola, has a junior line at Macy's that came out yesterday. I really like her style so i was pretty excited about it even though i cant remember the last time i bought something from the junior section =/. Well anyways here are some of my top favorite looks from the collection.

ok....so maybe this isnt for the twenty somethings but I love for my sister, tavy, 16, to check this collection out. I think the collection is very trendy and edgy while still keeping the looks fresh and fun.

Will you be stopping by Macy's to grab a piece or two from the collection?

Rough & Burnt-Tan To Smooth-Clearer & Light Skin

Most of us want lighter clearer flawless skin right? Well I definitely improved my skin byyy a longgg shot!
how do you go from rough & burnt-tan to smooth & much lighter and clearer?
Ill give you some tips that I use while incorporating it to my 5-step Routine (Refer back to 5-step Skincare Blog)

During Step2.Mask/Massage - You can replace the mask you are using now to a natural mask to lighten skin. There are plenty of natural mask you can make yourself but my favorite would be
1.The Mint&lemon Mask.
To Make - Take a hand full of mint leave enough to cover your face + a quick squeeze of lemon juice, leave in refrigerator for a couple mins first for a more cool effect before use.
Apply for 15-20min damp fingers and use a circular motion to rub off.
2.Rice Powder Mask.
To Make - Grind Clean organic DRY rice with a food processor then add milk/rice water/or water to create a paste.
Apply as a mask for 15-20 then glenty rub off with water.

(keep coming back to check the blog for updates on more lightening/whitening mask)

During Step 3.Tone (Emulsion)- For a Toner you can use rice water (using regularly for a long period of time will result in lighter & clearer skin) or Japanese Sake.
Whether it is rice water or Sake just take a
cotton ball dip into the liquid and apply on your face.

& for step 4.Essence/Serum & step 5.Moisturizer - There are many products which provide a whitening effect to go along with the product (try Shiseido, Doirshow, Mioggi, Laneige, ect..)

Just cleansing & exfoliating can help keep a lighter healthy glow. (:

Its also important to ALWAYYYYSSS put sunblock on 20 mins. before you leave your house it makes 192481092x the difference ! (: (Shiseido's sun protection line is my fav.)

My Before & After Results

Before : After :yess I was wayyy dark before. haha
I hoped you enjoyed & come back for more !
